Lee Burton was born in Lakeland, Georgia, and has lived in Georgia all of her life. She has two children, Heather 26, and Hogan 22. She and her husband, Jeff, both attended the University of Georgia where Lee played on the women's golf team. She has competed in golf for 35 years and was named Georgia Female Golfer of the Year in 1994 and 1996. Lee also competes in the equestrian sport of dressage, riding her Andalusian Stallion to the Grand Prix level. She moved to St. Simons where her husband grew up in 2003, and attained her Real Estate license in 2007. She specializes in Equestrian and Oceanfront real estate.
