Looking for the perfect beach getaway? Look no further than this traditional two bedroom two bath home located less than a block from the best beaches on St. Simons. Enjoy being within walking distance to the King and Prince, Crab Daddy's, The Crab Trap, Fiddler's, Beachcomber BBQ, and more. Just down the road is the Pier Village, which has some of the island's most popular shops and restaurants and the new pickleball courts. All you need to do here is show up!
This property boasts an eat-in kitchen and a separate dining room, perfect for your quick meals or your extravagant family dinner! Relax on the front porch swing or sit around on the back deck. The living room has new furniture and a large flat screen TV. The sun room on the side of the house is warm and inviting - well-lit with a lovely sofa for reading. The kitchen has a standalone ice maker, full-sized refrigerator, and washer and dryer for your convenience. The master bedroom has a BRAND NEW king mattress, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has 2 BRAND NEW queen mattresses and a TV. The second bathroom has a shower/tub combo.
There is an outdoor shower in the back yard, perfect for washing the sand off after a beach day. There are some bikes in the shed for your use - make sure to ask for the key upon check-in!
Although Rooney has only 2 bedrooms, there is enough space and sleeping for a family or group up to 6! TVs are located in the living room and both bedrooms. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED.

We had a ball. Enjoyed my 2 year old grandson sitting on the front porch and watching the grass snakes play in the front yard. We will be booking again next summer hopefully.

The cottage was amazing. Larger than it appears in photos. Well stocked kitchen and baths. Perfect location. The only recommendations I have are to update the electrical outlets to accommodate 3 prong plugs so you can plug in electronics such as laptops in all rooms. The other would be to have some lighting on the front porch. However, I would rent it again regardless. Absolutely loved it.

We had a very relaxing stay in Rooney Cottage. It was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, linens, beach chairs and bikes. The location is excellent with just a very short walk to the beach and many wonderful restaurants.

Very nice place to stay, took my daughters and grandchildren,we a a great time!
Quick and easy. Have stayed for 2 years now and really enjoy the cottage. Get a golf cart and you are set. Plan on staying again.
